Two days ago, samsung released a messenger application. Yes, ChatOn, a conversation application. Actually this isn’t new application, because before that, there are already some application like that, like WhatsApp, KIK messenger, Kakao, etc.

Before we can use it, we have to register our phone number to ChatOn during registration form after it’s opened. After that, we have to wait a confirmation sms, and then enter the confirmation number in the sms into ChatOn application during setup.

It’s like WhatsApp messenger. We don’t have to add buddy manually, because our buddy will show itself if our friend have using ChatOn too. Of cource our friend phone number already saved to our contact list. If don’t, we have to add manually, using our friend phone number.

Although it’s like WhatsApp, but not the same. Example, emoticon in ChatOn is less than WhatsApp. Then in ChatOn there is a rank to measure interactivity we and our friend. We can also attach our birthday in this application. And also one important difference, ChatOn is free, while WhatsApp is free trial for one year.

Despite WhatsApp is trial, I think it’s more simple than ChatOn. And also WhatsApp available for iOS, Nokia, and RIM, while ChatOn just only for Android and Bada OS for now. So, we have to wait ChatOn available for another samsung smartphone, like iOS and RIM. And alse wait after a lot of WhatsApp free trial ended. Hehehe… Below is screenshot of ChatOn.

If you want to test ChatOn, it’s already in android market. I don’t know how to get it in Bada’s phone. Happy trying… :-)
